At OpenSpace, we are passionate (can you tell?) about reinventing how people work and collaborate.

An affordable, simple to use workspace, OpenSpace is geared to how we communicate and interact in today’s connected world. In an age when too many of us rely on noisy coffee shops, dreary home offices, and soulless rent-a-room centers to accommodate our work lives, OpenSpace provides a meaningful alternative.

Our founder, Jeff Gunther, is an entrepreneur with several technology-oriented start ups under his belt. His experience with costly, inflexible, traditional office space led him to conclude that there must be a better way. The result: OpenSpace.

Meet Our Team

Erin Miller
Location Leader

Erin grew up in Richmond, VA and graduated in 2009 from the University of Virginia with a degree in psychology. A big fan of Charlottesville, especially it’s music scene, she has since made Charlottesville her home and has been working at OpenSpace since February 2011. A former barista, she can usually be spotted with a coffee cup in hand. In her spare time, Erin enjoys horseback riding, reading, and attempting to keep up a blog.

Catherine Martin
Concierge

A Charlottesville native, Catherine is currently studying global development and public health at the University of Virginia. She joined the OpenSpace team in January 2011. Previously, Catherine lived in South Africa for three years after high school working at a youth program. An avid runner, she also maintains a large, thriving vegetable garden in her backyard, growing favorite items such as lettuce, corn, and sweet potatoes.

Joseph Holm
Concierge

Joseph was born and raised in Texas and graduated from Texas A&M in 2009 with a degree in political science. He and his wife Tahni, of Joyeuse Photography, moved to Charlottesville in 2010, and he has been working at OpenSpace since February 2011. Joseph is a huge fan of all Dallas sports teams and Mavericks’ forward Dirk Nowitzki in particular. In addition to working at OpenSpace, Joseph also plays guitar and serves as the Worship Leader at Charlottesville Community Church.

Elizabeth Chan
Concierge

The newest member of our team, Elizabeth was born in New York and grew up in New Jersey and Virginia. She studied physics and English at the University of Virginia and is currently in her third year at UVA Law School. When she is not studying law, Elizabeth enjoys traveling (most recently to the Grand Canyon), running, and cooking. She is also a self-proclaimed “disgruntled Redskins, Wizards, and Nationals fan.”
