By being an OpenSpace member, you agree to our full Terms of Service.  You can review them here: http://getopenspace.com/terms-of-service/.

Below is a highlight of the important policies that relate to 24/7 Access at OpenSpace.

    Logistics:

    • Enter through the main building entrance on 455 Second St. SE.
    • The first set of glass doors remains unlocked.  The second set requires fob access to the building lobby.  Fob ‘swipe pad’ will be on your left.
    • Access the North Side of OpenSpace by scanning your fob.  ‘Swipe pad’ will be on your right.
    • Front doors of OpenSpace must remain locked at all times.  No entry/exit is permitted from here.

    Questions:

    1. May I bring guests, family members, or friends into the space?

    1. No, sorry. Only Unlimited Members are permitted in the space outside of normal business hours.

    3. No, sorry. Only Unlimited Members are permitted in the space outside of normal business hours.

    3. How do I reach someone if there is an emergency?

    1. If it is a true emergency, please call 911.
    2. If it is not an emergency, but someone at OpenSpace probably should know, then call 1-866-228-0290 to reach our after hours answering service. We’ll respond quickly.
    3. If it is a fake emergency, please don’t call us at all.

Correct Answer: All of the above.

    4. If I feel a little stressed out, may I crack open a bottle of wine or a beer? (What if I bring my own?)

    1. No. No. No. Except for specifically sanctioned events (i.e. OpenSpace sponsored networking “happy hours”), no alcohol or drugs are permitted on the premises.

Correct Answer: A. You better have gotten that one right.

    5. If I forget my fob, can I still get in outside of normal operating hours?

    1. Yes, we will have a doorman waiting by the door 24 hours a day 7 days a week at your service to let you in.
    2. It depends on if there’s someone already in the space who I can subvert into letting me in.
    3. No, no ticky, no laundry. No fob, no entry.

    Correct Answer: C.

    6.  OpenSpace has the right to revoke my 24/7 Access Privileges and/or my OpenSpace Membership at any time.

    8. What do I do if I lose my fob?

    1. Cry your eyes out.
    2. Raise your fist to the sky and yell “Darn you fob gods!”
    3. Send an email to hello@getopenspace.com and request a new one. Your account will be charged a $25 replacement fee.

Correct Answer: All of the above.

    9. Can I camp out in a work studio for the entire weekend?

    1. Yes, if you are physically there 24 hours a day for two entire days. We would find that hard to believe ….
    2. No, if you are going to drop your stuff off and go do other stuff.
    3. A & B

    Correct Answer: C

    10.  Outside of normal operating hours, the work studios are on a first-come, first served basis.

    1. True.
    2. False.

Correct Answer: True. (And, keep in mind the answer to #9 – you can’t leave your stuff in the work studio if you’re not there.)

    1. Private Eyes are Watching You.
    2. OpenSpace has cameras everywhere, and we will review them.

    12. Will the cleaning fairy come to magically clean up after me?

    1. No. So, please be courteous to those who may be in the space after you. Throw your trash away and take your dishes to the kitchen. If you don’t, we’re going to tell your mom.
    2. No. Our cleaning team will be in the space after normal operating hours doing what they need to do (i.e. vacuuming, wiping tables, changing light bulbs, etc.). Please do not hassle them. They do a GREAT job, and we like them very much.
    3. No.

Correct Answer: All of the above.

    13.  Who is responsible for lost or stolen items?

    1. Not OpenSpace.
    2. We’re not your lawyer, but you might be if you let an unauthorized person into the space.
    3. The person who stole or lost something.

Correct Answer: All of the above.

Keep in mind two additional things:

    (1)  24/7 Access means that the Space will be a little more “self-serve” outside of normal operating hours – adjusted expectations may be appropriate.

    (2)  24/7 Access does not mean that you should be here 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Boundaries. That’s all we’ll say.
