OpenSpace began as an idea approximately one year ago. We launched our Soft Opening just over a month ago. And Thursday evening we celebrated our Official Grand Opening.
Between 5PM and 8PM, close to 80 people gathered under our illuminated globe lights. There was an ambiance of excitement, curiosity, and connections. We had a nice intermingling of guests. Some members, some new to OpenSpace, and several familiars who helped evolve us from a concept to a building to a synergetic space where people can work and meet in comfort.
The congenial and seasoned staff of Harvest Moon Catering wove in and around the guests, providing unique and tasty hors d’oeuvres such as mini Gorgonzola and caramelized onion sandwiches with pear bisque shooters. There were also tiers of cheese, spreads, crackers, pâté, and other nibbles artfully displayed.
Our staff provided grand tours of the North and South sides, introducing our guests to the amenities and technologies. And to capture it all, we had Sarah Cramer Shields with her infamous Photo Booth and her box of zany props. Guests and staff donned Viking helmets, feather boas, and cowboy hats while Sarah snapped and flashed, creating serious whimsy. To view all the hoopla from the Photo Booth click here. We would like to thank all who attended this grand opening event –for all of your interesting questions, valuable insight, warm-hearted welcomes, and continued support. At the end of the evening guests left kind Post-it messages on the glass doors of the studios, most of the food had been eaten, and there was a sense of momentum as we officially move forward.
